Placing an Order

We may accept orders from a number of different methods;

  • Online Orders - You may place your order online via our website www.BodyWornVideoSystems.co.uk
  • Phone Orders - You may place your order by Phone on 01382 542 467 (Answer Phone) Monday to Sunday
  • Post Orders - You may place your order by post by sending your instruction to Body Worn Video Systems UK, 9 Castle Bank, Newport-on-Tay, DD6 8JP

Payments

We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Credit or Debit Card - We accept all major credit and debit cards. Mastercard, Visa, Solo, Maestro and Visa Electron via PayPal.
  • PayPal - Please note that goods will only be dispatched to a verified PayPal address supplied with the PayPal payment.
  • Cheque, eCheque or Postal Order - Made Payable to Body Worn Video Systems UK (Please note that all cheques require 7 working days to clear before your order is dispatched).
  • Cash - In person at our office in Fife or by post (by arrangement).
  • BACS / Faster Payments / Wire Transfer - Customers can pay directly into our account. Ask for details.
  • PayM Bank transfer - Customers can pay directly into our account. Ask for details.

Unless previously agreed all goods must be paid for in full before your order will be dispatched. Every credit or debit card transaction must be submitted to a full security check which involves matching the data supplied with your order to the data held on file with your bank (as stated on your bank statement) and if the data does not match the transaction will be declined. Bank / transaction fees may apply depending on your payment method

We use PayPal to process our transactions via credit / debit card or over the phone. PayPal one of the leading payment networks for online auction websites and other ecommerce sites, for the sale of goods and other services. We do not store card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Acceptance of Orders

All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by us. We reserve the right not to accept your order for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances. We may also close your account for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances.

By making an offer to purchase, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions of Trading. If you do not accept our Terms you should not place an order. If there is anything you do not understand please feel free to contact us.

Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it, acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between us will take place when we dispatch the products ordered.

Please note that when placing your order online an acknowledgement will be sent to you confirming that we have received your order for processing but this does not constitute acceptance of your order.

Delivery

We normally use Royal Mail Special Delivery or Parcelforce 24 or 48. We have found them to provide the best service at a competitive price. We continually monitor our delivery services in order to bring you the fastest most efficient service at the most competitive prices; as such our delivery services and prices are subject to change.

Please Note that It is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to sign for the parcel, if no one is at the address when the delivery arrives a card will be left with details of how to arrange a new delivery or collection.

Unless previously agreed with Body Worn Video Systems UK your delivery will not be left with a neighbour or left safe. Please note that such requests are made entirely at your own risk as we cannot accept any liability for items reported as lost, stolen or damaged if you choose to do so.

We reserve the right to insist that all deliveries are signed for at the registered billing address by a person aged over 18.

Express Delivery

  • If you are not at the delivery address when the courier attempts your delivery a calling card will be left providing you with contact details and instructions, please respond to this card upon receipt.
  • It is the customer´s responsibility to inform Body Worn Video Systems UK of non-delivery within 24 hours of receiving your order shipping/order conformation. Our Customer Services Team will be happy to liaise with the couriers on your behalf in order to ensure the successful delivery of your order.
  • Body Worn Video Systems UK will not be responsible for extra delivery charges resulting from non-deliveries, if the courier is unable to complete your delivery and goods are returned to Body Worn Video Systems UK the fee for deliveries Returned to Body Worn Video Systems UK is £4.99 plus postage costs (this amount will be deducted from the value of goods returned or charged to your account before goods are re-dispatched).

Economy Delivery

This service is available for low value orders and is not time guaranteed. We aim to deliver within 5 working days and ask that if you do not receive your order within this time that you contact our Customer Service Department for further information.

Please note that when using our Economy Delivery Service we will not consider an item delayed until 15 working days have passed since the order was dispatched and we have received a signed declaration from you. Once the 15 working days have passed we can enter into the claims procedure but reserve the right not to re-issue goods until the claims procedure has been completed with the relevant delivery service provider.

Returns And Order Cancellation

You also have a statutory right to return or cancel your purchase. If you wish to cancel you must tell us in writing, by telephone, or email in order to obtain a Returns Number. You should keep evidence of having given your cancellation notice, such as a certificate of posting. You must take reasonable care of the product and you must return the product to us (at your own risk and cost) within 14 days of dispatch. All goods remain your property until they are received by our Returns Department.The product must be returned unused (except to the extent use was reasonably necessary to examine the product) and with the original packaging and Sales Receipt with the reverse completed with the Returns Information. We will refund the purchase price of the product less the delivery charges.

Waiting List Orders

Some products that are currently out of stock are available to order using our PreOrder service. We will advise you if this option is available when you place your order. PreOrder means you can order a product immediately and we will dispatch it to you if it comes back in to stock. In order to reserve stock PreOrders will be charged to your debit/credit card or PayPal account, you can cancel your order and request a refund at any point up until dispatch. When new stock arrives, the customers who ordered first will receive their products first. An email will be sent to you when your order has been dispatched to advise you to expect your delivery.

Product Information

We have taken reasonable steps to display as accurately as possible the colours and other detailing of our products. However, the actual colours and detailing you see onscreen will depend on the equipment you use to view the products. Any information regarding sizing of products is included as a guide only. If you are in any doubt as to the size of any product you require, we recommend that you contact us prior to placing an order.

Faulty Or Damaged Products

Faulty Upon Receipt

Upon receipt of your order if you have a faulty or damaged product please Contact our Customer Service representatives within 48hrs to report the problem and obtain instructions on how to proceed. Please ensure that you retain all packaging materials and mark the courier signing record with any damage identified. We will advise you on the return of the item and upon receipt of the goods will exchange any item or refund the purchase price. Only in exceptional circumstances, after express authorisation upon provision of a receipt will Body Worn Video Systems UK agree to issue a refund for postage charges incurred by you in the return of faulty items.

Faulty Within 12 Months Of Delivery

We will warranty any product which develops a fault within a period of twelve months from delivery (other than due to normal wear and tear, accidental or deliberate damage, failure to follow instructions or misuse) Body Worn Video Systems UK will replace the product with the same product wherever possible, or a similar product subject to stock availability.

Only in exceptional circumstances, after express authorisation will Body Worn Video Systems UK agree to issue a refund for postage charges incurred by you in the return of faulty items.

Faulty In Excess Of 12 Months Of Delivery

Once twelve months from date of delivery have passed you will be referred to the Manufacturers warranty, your return will be accepted for inspection only and at your own risk and cost we do not guarantee to offer any kind of refund or replacement.

Upon receipt of your return we will contact the manufacturer and take their advise as to how to proceed. Once we have a response from the manufacturer we will contact you, please note that any decision or offer made at this stage is final.

In all circumstances some products may need to be referred to the manufacturer, therefore you must allow 30 days from our receipt of your product for your refund to be processed or a replacement product to be dispatched.

We reserve the right to refuse to issue a refund/replacement product and to recover the cost of the return delivery from you in the event that the product is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear.

Nothing in this section or elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions or in our returns policy affects your statutory legal rights.

PLEASE NOTE REFURBISHED CAMERAS ARE SUBJECT TO A 3 MONTH WARRANTY UNDER THIS POLICY

 

Our Liability

We will not be liable to you where performance of any of our obligations is prevented or restricted by any circumstance or cause beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for the use you make of the products you order. To the extent not prohibited by law, we accept no liability for any loss which is not reasonably foreseeable or for any business loss (which includes loss of profits, contracts, goodwill, opportunity and other similar losses).

We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and responsibility for fraudulent misrepresentation and any other liability that cannot, under Scottish law, be excluded.

Security And Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of any information given to us in order for us to process your order. We will not sell or pass your details to third party organizations except for the purpose or processing your order. You should also be aware of our use of cookies to enable the website to function correctly and efficiently.

General

By using our service you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by our Terms and Conditions of Trading and that any information you provide is accurate and complete. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and us and can only be amended with our consent. We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time without prior notice, provided that any such change will not affect any purchases you have made before the change is implemented. Your continued use of our services shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest Terms and Conditions.

No term of any contract subject to these Terms and Conditions shall be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1 by any person not a party to such contract.

You and we agree that Scottish law applies to these Terms and Conditions and that any dispute between us arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will only be dealt with by the Scottish courts, unless you are resident in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case the applicable law of that part of the United Kingdom will apply and any dispute will be brought before the courts there. We are required by law to inform you that purchases can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.
